Ugandan invents HIV/AIDs App
KAMPALA – A Ugandan Charles Brown, a native has developed a new App that will help ease communication, care, and treatment among patients living with HIV in Uganda.
Dubbed ‘Prep Mobile App’ Brown explained that the innovation is aimed at providing information to the public about places or facilities which offer Prep services, remind the person on when to collect their drugs as well as when to swallow the drugs.

A user-friendly app used to access information about HIV prevention and a daily pill that can prevent HIV has been developed. The Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) app called ‘PrEP Uganda’ assessed on smartphones was initiated by Charles Brown the executive director Preventive Care International (PCI).

What is your motivation for becoming an HIV cure advocate?
For any new infection to happen there has to be an interaction between an HIV negative person and HIV positive person. To me promoting HIV prevention for the uninfected people while treating or getting a cure for the infected people will lead us to ending HIV soon.
